It's not that simple. Do you really believe that 44 plus men just wrote their books, had it all complied and reproduces exactly as you see it today?
Much of teh scriptures were carried word of mouth. Somebody had to make sense of it all...enter the early fathers of the church. They not only put it all together, but rewrote much according to their own agenda's and personal beliefs. The well known mistranslation of Hell is a perfect example of this.

Her mind operates on a higher plain than yours apparently, not that im dissin theists, cause i know quite a few intelligent admirable 1s, some of whom understand that a belief is involuntary, she needs proof to belive, & even theists can, have & will continue to admit, its proof that cant be given. Interestin that yad put such a small sum to your wager. I like neither theists nor atheists to claim that the other side is idiotic. She seems to be wel set in a firm & justifiable belief.

A lot of people don't know the meaning for Theory Of Evolution. In Science theory is not a guess , not a hunch it is a well supported explaination for our observations. If you provide an explained answer to fit the observations it can be used to make predictions and that's a fact. The word theory is the explaination, it is basicly the closest you can get to proof in science. Science deals wtih facts, observations and they use laws to describe the theory to explain it.

What you creationists don't understand is religion and god is nothing but a man-made device to set morality in an age of ignorance. Religion was a way to create society and to set rules. That was 2000+ years ago , that's bronze age days. They had nothing but flimsy records with no adequate answer or any credible evidence to backup their hand theory. Over 2000+ years ago the knowledge of anything was only a fraction of what we know today.

We have a lot of evidence in science, we don't need a deity to explain the unanswered (unknown). Just because nobody knows how life on earth came from, you don't need to make up a fictional character to replace the unknown answer. Faith is blind because it's the abscense of evidence and there never will be any evidence, only false hope for the insecure ignorant minds.

i think faith is the answer to questions that you could not solve at the moment for people who want an answer but don´t want to think about it. So faith is a way to run away from you problems in this point i think.
On the other side. Ok you can explain something. But you always explain it with something you already believe is true. But you cannot prove that 1 is 1 you just accept it because it´s logical in our logical world. maybe 1 != 1?

Nice thought experiment. I think that logic isn't like a set of rules that we invent, it's more like a way of describing what's already there. Attempting to prove the equality of two numbers that are... equal, is a problem that in theory only requires one step. However that's not why it's true, it's true because in reality one object REALLY IS one object. Reality does not change or fluctuate to non-euclidian math, at least not outside quantum level. I'm not a mathematician, so I'm not sure.

Socrates said "A life unexamined is not worth living." I would say that a corollary to this is that a believe unexamined is not worth holding. When I was a christian I was desperately afraid of even thinking about the nature of existence of god too much, because "I might stray." This was utter cowardice on my part, any real god, once accepted would protect the faith of his followers, in the "never give you more than you can handle" sense. Question your own beliefs, god would expect it of you.

Have you ever wondered if your religion even has any credibility or validity? and religion is not? at least atheists choose to not believe in a supernatural being and choose to believe in what they can percieve with their own senses without having to rationalise it through speculation.
