Vincent Van Gogh foi um gênio da arte e está vivo até hoje nas telas que criou. Sua visão da vida é singular e a homenagem que o autor e cantor dessa música fez é perfeita. Sua história me remete à frase de Raul Seixas que diz: "É pena eu não ser burro! Assim não sofreria tanto!". Sua genialidade que tanto o fez sofrer nos presenteou com essa maravilha que temos hoje como referência da arte. Parabéns ao criador do clip.

I just love it! Vincent was a great artist. He suffered a lot because he didd´t belong to this world. He was a poor depressed man, but a genious! Only depressed people can understand this video...it "says"so much! Thank you for this tribute.

There has been talk about possibly digging Van Gogh up and trying to see if they can determine what type of metal disorder he had. There have been lots of opinions, from a form of VD, to poison from the paint.

Van Gogh did ingest paints, chalks and other tools of artistry; it's likely he had some lead poisoning. However, his excessive consumption of absinthe, which also affected his perception of yellow-green colors, is probably far more to blame for his hallucinatory behavior (i.e. lopping off his ear lobe).

It's a known fact that a lesion on his brain from childhood caused temporal lobe epilepsy. Eyewitness accounts, Van Gogh's own writings, the fugue states that preceded the grand mal seizures all point to the major brain dysfunction as TLE.
Van Gogh also had bipolar disorder, a disease not uncommon among artists or his own family.

I am curious as to why anyone would spend the time and money to disinter an almost 118-year old corpse to prove what is already known and what does not really matter at this juncture anyway.

There are no known facts with regard to Van Gogh's health. There have been many theories as to his mental disorders. In addition to the theories you've laid out some suspect he had Hypergraphia, syphilis, absinthe poison, etc.

I agree with everything you say except 'Only depressed people can understand this video'! Don't be silly, a beautiful song and that beautiful art speaks to everyone, although some people will refuse to listen.
