A little bit statistics?
Sweet had in Germany 8 No.1`s and 16 Top 10 Hits includes 6 No. 1`s in a row (Little Willy, Wig Wam Bam, Blockbuster, Hellraiser, Ballroom Blitz and Teenage Rampage)!! Only the Beatles (12 No.1`s)and Abba (9 No.1`s) had more and only the Beatles had also 6 no.1 `s in a row.
Sweet were really great in Germany.

I grew up to these guys. I was in junior high when Fox On The Run came out. I really don't think I knew just how great these guys were. I was young and not really paying attention to their style and hair and also their musicianship. Now as a 47 year old father of three I have watched their videos endlessly over the past few months and I am so into Sweet. I have become the attentive fan I should have been back in 1975. Sweet has become one of my favorites along with the Beatles and Boston.

Every time I see Mick twirling the drumstick between his fingers I have to ask who the first drummer was to do that trick. I've watched tons of old videos and I haven't seen a drummer do that trick. Was Mick one of the first, if not THE first? Just curious. I'm sure someone from the '60's did that trick for the first time but I haven't seen proof of that. Any help on this question would be greatly appreciated!

I totally agree. I haven't seen anyone else do that before their time. But I've seen every 80s band copy it. Check out their Poppa Joe video.
