Hank's career spanned but 6 years, and he is one of the most followed music legends of all time. Imagine the legacy he would have had if he had lived even jsut 10 years longer, let alone lived till he was in his twilight years. An amazing man. I guess Hank(and Carter Stanley) probably left this world with more songs on their heads than any other 50 ppl combined.

Well. I believe it was Ray Price who said that for Hank to have passed when he did meant that the music we do have of him is pure Hank. He never had to be around to try and sound contemporary or struggle with his songwriting or age in a not so graceful fashion. It was a true shame to lose him so young. But the legend and the mystique were only made so much stronger by it.
