| Yes, there is a demand now, but when I looked at them in 98 they were offering the twin turbo for 38 grand (loaded and brand spakin' new, zero miles). Thats a steal. Why else would they do that? Used Supras sell great but the reality is new supras did not. To my knowledge, no major auto manufacturer has ever stopped a car shipment because of too much power. Never. It's a nice urban legend, but it's simply not the reason they stopped selling them. |

| actually team bronski is right. it was a business move to satisfy a larger market with luxury cars over a single sport car. though there is demand for the supra it only exists because of a small niche market. the luxury market is enormous and much more wealthy to begin with |

| 95% of the people posting their "knowledge" here are fanboys and know nothing about Supras other than what they watch on Youtube or drive in Gran Turismo. Fact is, Supras weren't selling in the US and Toyota decided to end production and join the SUV/Minivan/Hyrbid market in which it now dominates today. the p.o.s Prius that you refer to is the #1 selling hybrid vehicle in the US and Toyota can't keep up with the demand for more. You would have to be put on a waiting list if you wanted one now. |

| Show me 1 NA Supra that is selling for more than $25k and I will give you my NA-T Supra. Supra's did not sell well at all when they were in production. Before FnF came out you could pick up a 93 Supra TT 6-SPD for under $15k. Why do you think only 13k were imported. Toyota made a wise business move getting rid of the Supra as the potential of the car wasn't widely known until after 2000. Besides that before around 2001, aftermarket parts were hard to come by for Supra's and were very expensive. |
