Evanessence is not a Christian band or is even considered it, they openly voiced that they were not under a christian label nor were their lyrics centered on any religious beliefs. Just cause the song Tourniquet says "My God, my tourniquet" does not make them Christian.

Evanessence started out as a full out Christian band, but broke ties. Alot of Christians who are in a band, dont want to be labeled a Christian band, it hurts fan base reach, and over all revenue. They stress the Christian label separation for money, as due 12 stones.
