I hate it when they leave the battle systems and stage movement as old side scrolling and all.I mean come on,3D cutscenes, and 2D battles..?It's insulting,and I found it pretty damn confusing.I'm way too used to the normal 3D battles to get used to crappy side scrolling.I've never played the old battle systems I'm afraid, and I agree with josh the fallen!

all castlevania games were in 2d,everyone knows that,even when game technology was good enough to make this game in 3d,they still went with 2d until they went with the risk of making castlevania games in 3d and you what?,it succeeded! now the castlevania games are better than ever!

this is nothing compared to the pc engine japanese version, sure it was older but it had that grittiness that made it awesome, 3d games today are shit compred to the old ones

SFX = FAIL. I've never played this one, because I don't have a PSP [I'm far from encouraged to make an investment in a failure of a handheld], but I will consider finding a ROM for this. If only for the experience, bragging rights to say I've murdered every American release of Castlevania, and for the super-charged Symphony Of The Night[WHICH IS NOT THE BEST CASTLEVANIA. ALRIGHT. It'S CIRCLE OF THE MOON. SHEESH.]. That aside. Yeah. Doesn't look so great. Looks sluggish. Slow. And the SFX suck.

i don't like the way he walks. its an unrealistic stomp. as if some of his joint don't work or he has bone marrow cancer.....i highly discourage a man with bone marrow cancer to go out vampire hunting.

I think the visuals were much more vibrant in the original, this looks like a budget title. Difficulty seems lower as well, as if it wasn't already low enough!
