Don't you think there are more serious cults in this world than easy-to-pick-on Scientology? Or is this really all about street-cred?

There are other cults, yes. So this is a step.
The same people would no doubt support Islam if they were asked. Yet Islam is just a bigger, scarier cult.

This is about Scientology - nothing else. People can choose to fight against what they want to...who are you to say otherwise?
Scientology is a commercial business aimed at taking people's money, time, and energy away from them to serve its own purposes. There is no correlation to Islam in any way at all.
Do some more research, then you will realise how the things you speak about are not representative of the majority of Islam at all - just as the majority of Catholic clergy don't abuse kids. It's a false argument, and you know it.
There isn't a professional religious class of imams and schools dedicated to gaining conversions?
There isn't a death sentence for those who try to leave?
There's alot of correlation with Islam. It's just easier to go for Scientology because nobody will accuse you of "bigotry" for harrassing that religion.

Death sentence? In some very oppressive areas yes - in the majority? no way. Show me the passage in the Quran that says that...it mentions being punished in the after-life, but that's it.
You haven't shown any correlation with Islam...and even if you did - what makes you the one to listen to? How many people have you helped get their lives back on track after being part of an abusive group of people bent on exploiting them?

Apostates from Islam live in fear of their lives, not only in very oppressive regimes, but in Egypt, and in Europe. Even if they're not killed, they are ostracised and harrassed and significant pressure put on them.
Scientology is child's play in comparison and you know it.

Pathetic ethics? Cowardly hypocrite? i stand in between a masked bunch of protesters and a multi-billion dollar organisation - in no man's land. Right in the middle, unmasked and unafraid...about as far from a coward and hypocrite as you can get really.
As for ethics...You still haven't mentioned how many people you have actually helped in your life - made a difference?
