Before there was the marketing, gleam, bling and shiny things and all the other fake bullshit - there was Hip-Hop.
A once honest and sometimes rough, fresh form of art is forever etched in my mind, artist focused just as much on their beats as they did
on their lyrics. These days however are gone, and while I recoil along with instrumental artists and forgotten DJs waiting for a new awakening;
I present in no particular order, Part 1 of the top Hip-Hop artists that have spun endless times around my turntables, up until it's death in 1996.
