If you need a needle in your back for any reason what so ever... Make sure a Nurse Anesthetist(CRNA) is putting it there. Not an Anesthesiologist. |

Besides, are not anesthesiologists doctors who are more highly trained than crna's? You're really coming off as being unprofessional here. |

| Anesthesiologists are not more highly trained than CRNAs (no apostrophe as it is not possessive). CRNAs and MDAs have the same complication and safety rates. There is no existing evidence that proves one group is better or worse than the other. |

| I work on a L&D unit - we watched this one day, and our staff Anaesthetist was damn near on the floor laughing!! This is great - gotta love the pause to eat the cookie bit! Hope the patient wasn't in the middle of a contraction!!! LOL!! |

| I hope this was not real...I had an epidural with the birth of my first kid. My back has never been the same I know why now. Had the second kid natural due to the way my back felt after epidural. I can still feel the exact spot and my oldest is 26 years old. |

| I delivered naturally. The thought of a needle in my back put me into a panic! I even wrote a "birthing contract" giving conditions of things like an episeotomy and all. Yeah I was a real control freak. The nurses just looked at me with raised brows. I have a doctor/hospital phobia can you tell? But to tell you the truth labor was so painful while Chris drove me to hospital I was thinking I want a hundred needleds shoved in my back to make it stop. But she was born w/in 15mins. |
