Sergei Rachmaninov plays his piano concerto No 2
Uploaded by: kspm01
Video Description:
Rachmaninov was of course the brilliant virtuoso we all know, but as a genious composer he has as well his place in the standard classical repertoire. Here we hear him play the adagio sostenuto from his second piano concerto. This unique recording with the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra directed by Leopold Stokowski was made for RCA in 1929.

My love for classical music started just over a year ago upon hearing Chopin's Fantaisie Impromptu, and that just kicked it off.
Schubert's Op. 90, No. 3. Take a listen to it.
Look up "Brendel" and "Schubert".
You can also watch Horowitz's and Zimerman's, and whoever else's. My personal favorite is Brendel's though.
Just thought I'd reccomend it.
Rach takes it a bit faster than I would if I was playing, but I'll grant him that since he composed it. (Unlike Berezovsky, who simply goes way too fast)
Thank you for posting this!
i'd love to hear him play the piano by himself, though the pairing with the orchestra isn't bad at all.
