If the republicans ... ( 2 weeks ago by dv84good)
If the republicans haven't figured out why they just got stomped in the election, maybe this will clarify it for them. We are being asked to tighten out belts while CEO's are getting $40 million golden parachutes leaving stockholders (as in our 401k) holding the bag and now doing this crap. They are clueless, greedy and corrupt and I hope Obama takes them down for this. The Bush administration is more corrupt than the Nixon Administration.

Obama voted yes on the bailout as well. And now he wants to bail out the auto industry. So much for Obama coming to the rescue when it comes to preventing bailouts--he's actually a driving force in pushing them through.
Bush fucked up and ... ( 2 weeks ago by TijuanaTornado)
Bush fucked up and now that shakedown artist antichrist racist church member Obama will drive us further into the ground. I can't believe this bullshit is happening. I'm struggling and I make a descent living. My neighbor lost over 54K from his 401K. Plus, when Obama's tax plan goes into effect he is going to lose his job cause the small company he works for won't be able to hold on to him.

For all of you Obama haters I have only one thing to say.... Could you please let the man take office before you start bashing him? If it wasn't for Bush we wouldn't be in the situation that we're in. For now... direct your negative attitute towards his administration! Enough said!
Last night I heard ... ( 2 weeks ago by dv84good)
Last night I heard Ted Turner say that we should let the GM go under because they haven't kept up with the competition. I can agree with than, but what about the 145,000 unemployed people that will have no health insurance and collecting unemployement? But, AIG colelcted money under another agreement and look what they did.

"fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on you" If a regular citizen got money from the gov. for something and spent it on someting else the fed would be there so fast their head will spin. What is happening?

Apparently it's ... ( 2 weeks ago by shaheed79)
Apparently it's democracy at well. Stuff like has been going on since the industrialization of America. It's just that now people are reporting on it. There has always been a impenetrable division between the rich and the non-rich and the rich DO NOT want the United States overall monetary value shifting towards the hard working middle and lower classes. New people having lots of money means power in politics and that to them means competition that they don't want.
Before Obama voted ... ( 2 weeks ago by shaheed79)
Before Obama voted yes but he said in a speech that he would be for the bailout as long as Tax payers would be ensured to get their money back with interest and only if we hold those companies LIABLE for the way they spend the money and NO golden parachutes for execs. Go find it. Being only a single senator he had no power of oversight in the bailout but as President he most certainly does. He wants to give GM the money to save jobs and so that he can force them to develop clean energy cars.
Good point. Today ... ( 2 weeks ago by Banji2009)
Good point. Today in the news, AIG wants to spend a very very large sum of the bailout money to make sure they don't lose their talented employees. And everyone with half a brain is asking, "What talented employees...the ones that got us into this mess?"
I really hope Obama will be a good president. Because everytime I think of our government, I get a vivid picture of the late great Bill Hicks saying, "Uh, hold on a minute somethins slappin my ass."
One thing I would ... ( 2 weeks ago by Banji2009)
One thing I would like to add though is that the government is very good at creating diversions. So, I try not to get too caught up with one issue when there are so many more. It's really easy to get angry with AIG and we should. But a half million is nothing compared to what our government wastes. Thanks, I'm out.

Time to make CEO scum history. Corporate executives like these turds (& their executive sycophants) are so far removed from the realities of the real world. Its time for a reality check guys, this system needs an absolute rethink. No more bailouts for the excesses of these Machiavellian moronic cockheads. Im sooo over it.
