Chapter 1 - Part 2
The whole ride home my mom kept talking about her first homecoming dance, back in the 70's. but all I could think about was the fact that he kissed me back. Caleb Sanders. Captain of the boys varsity soccer team, nearly straight 'A' student, perfect facial features, and not to mention is bangin' bod. Haha. To tell you the truth I have liked this kid since like I don't know 6th grade. Its crazy I know. But sill he kissed me back, and it was my first kiss. I was dared by Rene to kiss him and I did. It was my idea to put the note in his hand and to whisper in his ear. We pulled into the driveway and I grabbed my purse and went to open the door.
"Kate"? my mom said.
"yeah mom" I replyed.
"Kate you were very quiet are you alright? Did something happen"? *something happened alright.*
"no I'm just a little tired, you know, lots of dancing. I am going to go up to my room and change into my pajamas."
"ok, I'll get you up tomorrow."
"ugh but mom its Sunday tomorrow."
"yes and we need to go to curch." I hated going to church. Its not that I didn't believe in god cause' I did. I just didn't believe in the whole jesus redemption thing. To me it was a load of crap. Unless he was a vampire or something, but if he was, I don't think many people would like him.
"mo--m" I whine. Its boring all we do is sit in a huge room and listen to some old guy talk about random stuff I don't even pay attention to. You know I don't like going to church, besides its like 1 in the morning and I need to sleep. Mom please let me sleep in."
"kate."
"mom."
"Fine. Most likely you'll get up when I'm gone, so clean up your room and bathroom at least. And I wont bother you about not going. I better let your brother stay home too huh? Ok well make him breakfast too."
"ugh. Thanks mom." I say a little sarcastacally. I step out of her car and go inside.
