When I was talking to a leading professor and researcher about his work here at Queen's University Cancer Research Institute in Canada, he told me he had a graduate student working with him who was native to Chernobyl and was fishing a few hours after the explosion. The USSR cover-up led to a delayed evac, and when the guy went back to the pond, all the fishes were floating on the surface.Told me this guy figured he's probably a ticking time bomb so he wants to do what he can for cancer research

I Feel Sorry for the Residents of Pripyat mostly. A Carnival was to be held just days after the Chernobyl plant Backfired, Some things that are still Abondoned in pripyat to this day like the Ferris Wheel have become very good Sight seeing attractions. although no people are allowed near there as there are still Pockets of Radioation Surrounding that Wheel. IT WAS THERE FAULT CHERNOBYL BLEW..THEY SHOULD OF NEVER FED REACTER 4 TO MUCH IN THERE TESTS!

the strengh of the radiation isn't the main problem ... it's the type of radiation ... alpha-rays just can fly about 10 centimeters and a piece of paper could stop them ... but when gamma-rays hit you with that intensity, you can make your testament.

but the geiger counter layed on the ground and he touched it, so i guess a litte amount of dirt came into his body (not washing his hands and stuff like that ...)
