Two very distinguished ladies. As a Carolina grad from 20 years ago, I am warmed to hear that the school is still attended by this country's best, young individuals.
Alas, I am in mourning for the heartless loss of, not only one of our own, but a person with a very promising future.

As an NC STATE Alum from north of NC, I'm sick over the death of this out-of-state UNC student. We Raleighites used to think Chapel Hill as way too quiet but I guess anything can happen anywhere.
She seems like a superior young American woman in every way. Hope they catch the pig who did this. My god, a crime like this in a sleepy southern town. . .What a loss.

I graduated from UNC several years ago and now find myself in Los Angles. I was shocked to hear about Eve's murder on the news- how did this happen? Why was she there at that time of night? And who did it? Very upsetting. I did not know her, but from what I've learned of her in this last day, she seemed like an excellent person and definitely inspires me to give more to those around me.

Condolences to all who have lost a loved one and friend in Eve Marie. She was an accomplished and caring person that we should all honor by emulating her. How sad to see such a bright star lost to such a senseless crime!

I agree - it seems more and more of the news involves senseless murders of our young people. It can be very depressing. Eve Marie would have made a real difference in many lives and now that light is gone. What is this world coming to ? I hope she's in a better place. My prayers to Eve's family and friends.
