they don't look malnurished to me >->as americans we are used to seeing fat cows, but thats probaly fda approved hormones in injected into the cows and fodder that helps acheive that.

I heard somewhere that cows do this if they are distressed. Apparently it reminds them of the security of suckling from mum as a calf.Don't know if its true though. Someone may just have been taking the piss?!
