I own an 2006 Impreza STi PPP (UK Impreza with an official Subaru engine induction kit to 320bhp) and I have put it up against a mate's Gallardo. The Impreza is certainly quicker below 80mph and quicker off the line, but after about 100mph the Lamborghini definitely has more muscle.
I've been in an awful lot of things and the only thing quicker off the line than an STi is a motorbike.
If anything the guy in the Impreza there was not brutal enough with his clutch off the line.

obviously the impreza will have a better start due to the 4wd kick in when the rear wheels start spinning but for top speed te lambo definatly would kill the impreza

well, actually, 4wd doesnt kick in when the wheels start spinning. All Subaru's are ll-wheel drive, not 4wd,. So all four wheels always have power going to them.

actually the subaru is one of the fastest small cars. it has about 300HP right out of the factory. a lot of kids get a lot of speeding tickets with those. it' s kinda poor man' s race car.
i' ve seen it go. it' s pretty good.
i wouldn' t buy it but still kids enjoy this car as long as they dont get killed at the end. i' ve seen a lot of them shooting through the intersection with red light stepping on the brakes and the car smashes either on other cars, or loses control and hits the curb.
