this is all great..but I dont think Yanni actually writes any of this stuff himself - after all, he cannot read or write standard notation, so how is he going to write parts for all of those musicians

He cannot read or write music, but he uses his own special form, which is translated by people he hire, for the members of his band to use. He is simply incredibly talented to create such music without knowing musical notation.

He knows how to write notes and read them. Because one of my friend he send an eamil for him, and asked him about one insturment and about the notes. He said" I SIT IN THE ROOM FOR MAYBE 10 MONTHS WRITING NOTES FOR HIS ORCHESTRA AND FOR ALL INSTURMENTS.

Notation has nothing to do with music, it is a mere medium of exchange. It is like money, it does not make you rich, STUFF makes you rich. It is the feeling of music that is music, notation is not music and should never be used to judge a musician.

dewinmoon has a point, and blacksheep1982 is absolutely correct. He writes music in a method of notation he developed as a child, which is much more efficient than standard musical notation. He writes music for the other members of the orchestra in this form also, which is then translated into standard format by other arrangers. Don't talk about what you know nothing about, fetishism.

Sip, si lo tengo, pero en VHS esta muy shido, fue el que dio en el Auditorio, se avento un buen de rolas al final... a la mayoria de las rolas les puso algun adornito extra, como la de Marching season, realmente en el solo de tambores parecia como si hubiera un Tren..estuvo divertidisimo
