you are playing way to many video games...the bullet will travel about 7540 yards but no accurately...its accurate to about 2500-2700 yards

The claim is at about a mile and a half, it can hit a man sized target.
But barret makes another gun that is allegedly more accurate.
I think its a 440, but not sure.

7,ooo yards?, Uh No, not even close. rockyman is right, you can hit a man sized target at about 2700 yards max. At that range the round won't go through 3 inches of steel either.

no shit, what I said meant that at 2700 yards you CAN hit a man sized target, there are confirmed kills in combat to prove it. YOU CANNOT shot this rifle 7000 yards and expect to hit anything. The round will go 7000 yards if you point the gun up in the air and get the trajectory right but you couldn't hit a football stadium at that range.

Longest kill on record was made by Cpl. Rob Furlong at 2,657 yards with a McMillan TAC50 in Afghanistan. Thats only 1.509 miles, which is far short of 3, 4, or even 2 miles.
