When will Gordon ... ( 4 months ago by annirochot)
When will Gordon Brown get the message. It is now obvious that tony and his aids ran the treasury for the last 10 years and now that he pushed tony out he is suffering his just deserts! Gordon - you were not voted in by us and you are not wanted by us. Be a man and resign! David Milliband would be your best bet but even he won't be able to save the party at the next election. Always voted labour will now be voting conservative. Never thought that would ever happen!

I also think the parliament of the United Kingdom extremely exciting, and I also think it's the most advanced institution of representative democracy in the world.

You're voting for ... ( 4 months ago by peetree2k6)
You're voting for people, not policies it seems.
That is not how British politics works. That may be successful for American politics, where the Head of State also has a significant role in the governance of the nation, but in our parliamentary democracy it's important not to vote people based on how popular they are, because it's the party, not the PM, who runs things - along with significant input from the others.
Think carefully before you throw your vote to the Aristos.

Maybe if Gordon's eyes worked he could be a bit more composed in shouting back at David?

Why do you hate him? Give a serious answer.
When it comes to ... ( 4 months ago by annirochot)
When it comes to who is best qualified to run the country then you are voting for the person. Under Gordon Brown this country is falling apart. He is inaffectual. I wouldn't mind if he was doing something about it but he is not. He is imcompetent and always has been. He is now paying the price for his oversized ego. I am well aware of policies. That is why i voted labour all these year. I also work for the NHS and i can assure you that the policies in place now are killing it.
peetree2k6-He ... ( 4 months ago by czdavid1)
peetree2k6-He arrogantly muscled in on the job of pm (assuming he could be better which he can't). He then denied us the chance to endorse or reject him. He is more of a manipulator than blair ever was. His "Moral compass" shit needs to go straight back up his arse where it belongs. As for his success as chancellor, the fact that he can't do anything to reduce taxes in a time of difficulty says it all although he's pretty quick to spend it on losing banks, losers, wars etc. Arghhh..I hate him!!

I am an american and really wish we pad "presidential questions" Bush wouldn;t have been able to win a second term if people saw unflitered view fo him adn how stupid he is. btw I am woting for and goigng to be working for the obama campaign this fall. sorry for the last 7 years. but know as bad as its been for you its been unspeakably worst for us.
It is always easier ... ( 1 week ago by gwcolonial2010)
It is always easier to criticize someone, but Mr. Brown's premiership has been nothing worthy of praise. He's never fought for anything on a national level. He's had numerous government relaunches but to no avail. He didn't even earn the position as Blair (who is undoubtedly more qualified) did. It takes great humility to resign as Blair did, and great humiliation was what was left in its wake. I'm from the U.S., but isn't a chancellor supposed to know how to fix the economy, not worsen it?
