Thanks Ira, I really enjoyed listening to segment when you were 27 after 8 years in the business. It appeared to me that you were trying to follow the example of other reporters vs. being Ira Glass. It is so true of life in general, we see people who have what we want so we imitate them. What we must do is find the person we want to be in ourselves, and be that person. There in lies the secret to success.

I totally agree. I love the observation that one has the good taste to know one's early work or even current works can be total crap... and it's the discernment of that gap in quality that is impt. Great great thought.
