Saw BB King tonight 11/16/06 at the North Fork Theater (aka Westbury Music Fair) He's 81 and talks a lot. He is a legend granted and when he plays and sings, great, amazing. Has some fun stories and is a showman. Great band, smooth warm sound. Was on stage for 90 mins, talked a least 45 mins of it. He ended up playing about 9 songs. No joke. He's too good a player to yap that much.

BB held court in LA tonight
Under the stars and searchlights
Open-air concert at the Hollywood Bowl
Nestled in the lovely hills soon filled with soul
The weather sweet, the sound sublime
Had my baby, a picnic, now that's a good time!
After a rousing fanfare, BB came out in triumph
From way back where I was, he was only half an inch high!
He played, sang, told stories with earthy charm and grace
Invited into his living room, chat beside his fire
He opened up his heart, and Lucille took us higher
So warm, and kind, every note saturated in feeling
Filled up this hallowed amphitheatre that has heaven as it's ceiling
He'll be 82 years old next week, he's still going strong
He choked me up, brought a tear, and played the whole night long
BB is music. BB defins music. BB is forever!!!
