I'm not a real pilot (Private Pilot just over 200 PIC)I'm probably among the worst pilots in the universe but in case of emergency, I'll try to land even without any wings. :D This movie it's more about luck than any other bullshit I wrote here. The pilot tried to manage the situation and this time he's experience and he's luck was brothers. 9 out of 10 similar situation the story ends before you could do anything...

It is a well known fact that all pilots are trained to get out (eject) rather than try to land an unserviceable machine .A pilots life is much more important than the piece of junk this plane became after the incident. ..continued

So making us believe this happened is a pathetic improvisation and make believe which is evident with the anomalies left in the making of the video such as the camera being fixed and the whole pilots body swerving.
WOW how much fool hardy can the director get. lol.
Fiction stories are more interesting, as they leave somethings to imagination.
No offence intended to the director of this film. Just a suggestion.
Be more imaginative on your next endeavor.

Aoc777, I'll believe this video before I'll believe someone on the Internet who writes that he was an ex-fighter and he thinks this story is bogus. I remember when this actually happened (it was reported on the mainstream news) and I see nothing unbelievable about it. If you really were a fighter pilot, and knew the F-15, you'd know just how amazing that bird is.

AOC777, the event is real. The video is a recreation done by the History Channel. Hence, the PoV cameras in the cockpit, the unrealistic movements of the pilot, etc.

it is impossible without afterburn... he lost so much fuel so the afterburn couldn´t be activated anymore. and with afterburn it would be impossible to land, too.
