When you rake with your thumb are you muting the strings with your index & middle finger on your left hand or with your palm or what?
I think fingers but im not sure.

Mute with your right hand palm when raking to avoid all the unwanted string noise. It takes some good timing to get it to sound natural.

sweet stuff man. have you tried not putting the slide so far on your finger? if you haven't it might be good to try. i used to put it really far on my finger like you, and then i tried not putting it past the big knuckle on my finger and i ended up like it a lot more. it definitely gave me a lot more touch without having to have as much movement with my whole hand. and it didn't take long to get used to the different feel
