The first thing that comes to mind when people speak on what is suppose to be gangster are drug, guns and violence and the fact that you patake in a illegal life is not what make a person gangster, its the integrity and honor one holds for the code of the game and having uprightness towards those code, thats GANGSTER!!

Morals of avon is debatable. Was it him or stringer that ordered the hit on the taxpayer in season one? Avons crew is responsible for the deaths of 2 innocent working people, I'm not sure if you can say that he "has morals".

You're right. Avon was a hustler. He did his thing for years before they knew who he was. Stringer asked him in season 3 how much money do you need and Avon said more than I can spend. He was more about the money. He had a gangsters heart too. Marlo was MORE of a thug. He was ruthless and killed just to kill. It was all about his name(My Name Is My Name) the money didn't really matter to him. Marlo died when they took away his name. Avon is running the prison Omar is a legend and Marlo is dead.

I argree with you 99%,the 1% I dont agree with is Omar begin a legend.He was the biggest rat on the entire show, he was squealing from the first season.I dont respect that,what happens in the streets should stay in the streets amongst street players.

I understand. But Omar had A WHOLE LOT of HEART. He had Marlo Chris and Snoop all shook. Alot of the gangsters didn't like the way he got down but they all respected him. He was like a cowboy. He also had morals, he didn't bother anybody who wasn't in the game.

Yeah I dig where u are coming from,Omar did have heart and he did have Marlo and crew worried,but when it comes to morals and principles yes Omar had personal code,but he was not upright to the code of the game.Thats why I say hes not a real GANGSTER.Just having your ethics are cool,but when you enter into a game that has its own set of rules,its just not enough to uphold your personal guidelines you must also have INTEGRITY toward the rules of the game and Omar did not because he SQUEALED

Omar did what he did because Avons crew didn't play by the rules either. They tried to get him at church, and they took out his boy but Omar didn't snitch about anything that happened to him. he kept it real in that sense. What he did to Bird was indirect payback and hes a legend cause he was fearless when he did it. Looked right in Stringer and Birds eye when he snitched for something he didn't even see.

Listen a RAT is a RAT,again when you are a player in the game you follow certain rules. Avon did play by the rule, what they did to Omar boy is part of the game,because he was a player in the game,so instead of Omar charging it to the game he SQUEALED.Avon did not order that church day hit do you really watch the wire string did that.U said what Omar did to Bird was indirect payback,no thats called being a RAT,if he wanted payback he should of hit bird.Dont Rat is a code of the street to players

No Omar didnt snitch on Bird because he didn''t see anything on Bird! Thats not snitching thats lying and everyone knew it Omar handled that. Besides Omar had a code, he didnt snitch on what happened to Brandon but when Gant got shot Omar stood up for the civillians. He wouldn't snitch about what happened to Brandon becuase we saw what he did to brother mouzone and stringer. I understand what you are syaing about integrity and everything but you cant put Omars situation into that mix.

Slim Charles is the ultimate soldier: respects authority, never over steps the mark, knows the game, keeps it real and knows whats right (like with killing bird) but at the same time knows that he is still a soldier, a kin good one though...
