Jack Thompson v. Paul Levinson on videogames and violence
Uploaded by: PLev20062006
Video Description:
Jack Thompson and I go at it on whether violence in videogames causes violence in the real world. Thomspon ignores evidence - such as decreasing crime rates in the last decade - that videogames have no such ill-effect, and mis-cites pyschological studies.

What a great man.
*is he still reading?*
Alright... now that he's gone, he's a douche.
What is he five?
I like the first guy who still said there is a problem but the problem is that little children can get their hands on violent games!
So what do we do? Look at the ESRB rating!
But the problem is; parents refuse to listen to this, and get their kid a violent game.
You all know what we call these people: Soccermoms!
A long time ago, I went to one of my...former friends house and managed to see a little 5 year old girl playing Grand Theft Auto!
Her dad was just sitting there letting her play it without so much as even a comment!
So which do you blame? The game? Or the parent?
The answer should be simple!
The little girl would not have the game unless the parent got her the game!
Hot Coffie!
A person by the age of 7 or 8 can define reality from fantasy. At the age of 13 a person knows very well the difference from reality from fantasy and can act on that.
Now when a person plays a game, their mind says "this is fantasy" I would say 99.99999%
Now when someone shoots people because they did in a game they usually have mind problems. (Yes there are shootings from games)
The game companies can't decide who plays the games, the games innocent
exept the few games that are baset on real events YAY JACKY suxxxx!!!!!11111!!!!!! YYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY
