furthermore Jamaica is not the second poorest, Dominica is..perhaps a class or two in Caribbean studies will straighten you out. And just because a country is deemed the poorest doesn't necessarily mean they are worse of. Some has to be classified rich and some poor. just as if i had 5 million tom had 4 million and you had 3 million. You would be the poorest, doesn't mean you are poor though

brandy sorry for being excessive. i visited jamaica. it is beautiful in the country. the people are also very nice. but kingston and the average jamaican that populates toronto, new york etc are totally different. You can't as a coherent thinking, morally correct person be happy at the way jamaiacans behave. The world has its view of them. It will not change until they change it.

I cannot believe the comments being posted on this thread Jamaicans verses Trinidadians I am a Jamaican and my best friend is Trinidadian. It just saddens me that people would allow themselves to be drawn into a ridiculous debate like this. Talk all the negativity you like, because when the chips are down nobody is going to give a s**t whether you come from Trinidad or Jamaica we will all get the same treatment.

I am a born British with Jamaican and Trinidadian decent and all countries are as bad as each other. Jamaica is not the 2nd poorest in caribbean and is not the only country with crime. Trini has some of the worst crimes in the caribbean you just don't hear about it because nobody cares. There are poorer countries in the world e.g Africa and Asia! The rich will get richer and the poor will get poorer.

Students from St. Kitts travel to Jamaica to attend the University of the West Indies as in most instances, completion of their course requires them to attend the Campus in Jamaica. There is a campus for the university in St. Kitts but unfortunately it only covers one year of study for a standard 3 year degree. Hence IT IS NOT because Jamaica is so irresistible and luring in nature why we Kittians go there! x

much more natural resources than jamaica will ever have. a smaller population should not be richer than a larger population, it's like comparing connecticut to NY, NY is much larger in population and therefore has a much much higher GDP than CT.
