Are you an ENFP? ISFJ? ENFJ? ISTP? What do these types mean, and where do they come from?
This video is the first in a very long, comprehensive series of videos about the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Inventory. I'll eventually be going over single type in great detail, as well as how they come about.
Part 1: Today I'm just going over the framework of the rest of the videos, and a bit of history. If you're interested, please subscribe, as I'm going to be putting out around one video every 1-2 days. The total series may be around 16 videos long.

INFP here, 4w5 the usual. The F is the only thing that stands out as being the weakest among my functions, as I have a fairly well developed thinking pattern (although I'm still highly empathetic) and I'm trying to grow a bit of J backbone too, but more or less I fit INFP very well. I find people bizarre too, but 'perplexing and intriguing' is a more appropriate way for me to put it than 'irrational', though the latter is of course true! I like people, but I hate personas. And personas abound.

Ahahaha... it doesn't sound stupid to me as a "feeler type". Well, perhaps a little, but I'm NFP, so to each their own, you know? I think you'll find that it's quite impossible to categorize people mathematically, though... I mean I love the subjective domains as much as anyone and I've spent a lifetime figuring both myself and others out, but haven't learned too much. MBTI could be a good indicator of things to expect, but you basically have to keep in mind that everyone is an anomaly.

Having said that, I am quite interested in MBTI and personality theory precisely because I'm INFP. I would appreciate the system for all its intricacies and values itself, but I feel uncomfortable doing so when it basically revolves around people. I think a more flexible approach works best, probably easier due to the FP. I've been fascinated by other things and ideas before though so I can't say I blame you and I appreciate your insight, you've done a lot of research =)

I use the Myer Briggs theory when I look at how people handle situations and a lot of times, they're surprised at how accurate I can read them but I've given up trying to explain how the theory works because some people think it's pseudo-psych no different than how horoscopes work.

Great video! I am an infp. There is actually this site that connects you with other personalitytypes called personalitycafe. Just go on google and search for the keyword personalitycafe. I met alot of my own personality type friends there.

My results for the MBTI are rather inconsistent. I usually get INTJ but sometimes also INTP, ENTJ and ENFP.
Btw, I thought you did a great job on the video. Good content, body language, eye contact, tone and pace. Very nice! :)
