Lost Levels C-4

Video Description:
This has to be the hardest level on Lost Levels. (in my opinion, anyways). The firebar that's visible at 328 is almost impossible to get past without a mushroom. Of course, since I don't use mushrooms, (I ain't no punk bitch =P) I had to make it through without using one. I did horrible on the Bowser fight, but who cares? I beat this level and that's all that matters to me!
Oh, and another thing. See the elevators in the beginning of the stage? You can actually use those to reach the ceiling of this stage, but it's absolutely pointless. There's no way back down, and you'll just end up above Bowser watching him dance back and forth until you run out of time.

In my opinion the hardest level is either D-1 (the hammer bros. at the beginning are impossible to pass without LUCK) or B-3, which has a jump in which you must jump off a Bullet Bill to make it across if you're Mario. 8-1, 8-3, and 8-4 are fairly tough.

True that on D-1. The beginning of that level drives me insane...
I never had to use a Bullet Bill to beat B-3 with Mario...Although that doesn't change it from being any less difficult. For some reason, I usually die from the last Red Koopa on that stage. I jump for too long and pretty much get owned in the face when I land hehe.

on d-1, u can beat the hammers - when the hammer bros are in view, move to the
very left of the screen, the hammers cannot hurt u.... then jump
on each bro in succession to kill them. i tried this and it works - except if ur unlucky and they
happen 2 jump on you at the very edge of the screen.
u prob know this already and don't want 2 use it as it's a sort
of "cheat", but just in case u didn't know!

on super mario allstars - lost levels - on snes, after level 8, there are - 9, a, b, c and d. on the original nes/famicom japan game (smb2(j)) - u had to beat the first 8 levels 8 TIMES to allow access to A-D.

no. actually u get to world 9 by beating 1-8 without warping. if u warp once while doing world 1-8, world 9 will be locked and you'll go straight to world A. even if you don't warp while dping the first wuest, after beating world 9, you'll still get to world A.

I agree that it is the hardest level...just mastered it after like a 1000 tries no honestly it must've been about 200-250...No i'm hanging on the hammer faggots in D-1 well let's give it a try ^^

I would say this is the hardest level in the game by a slight margin. The only ones coming close (for me) are 8-4 and C-3. D-4 is a pussycat. With Luigi it's really easy (for this game).
But yeah this one is the worst. I found the best way to clear it for me was as Luigi and to be Super at the wands. Much easier said than done, but it works. Clearing the second bar with speed alone always landed me in Bowser's fire.

It was for the Super Nintendo. I got it on the Super Mario Allstars Cartridge. It comes with the original, super mario bros 2, 3, and lost levels.

You make that jump at 0:15 look easy.
Hell, you make this entire GAME look easy. I breezed through Mega Man 2 on the Wii's virtual console in a few short hours, and I STILL can't beat world 7 of the lost levels.
I've owned this game for 10 YEARS.
